Chris joined AMA in 2023. He has over 25 years of capital markets, M&A advisory, and restructuring experience with Maritime, Energy Infrastructure and Transportation companies. During his career, he has worked on over 100 public or private debt and equity transactions totaling over $30 billion in value and advised on over 50 announced M&A and restructuring transactions with an aggregate value of over $25 billion.  Chris’s active coverage areas include traditional vessel owners, marine service providers and manufacturers including commercial and technical services, shipyards, engineering services, bunker suppliers, equipment manufacturers and suppliers and marine technology businesses.  He incorporates AMA’s strategy of serving as the “bridge” between the financing and operating worlds of the maritime industry. He is a regular presenter and panel participant at major industry conferences.

His clients have included companies such as Atlantic Marine (BAE), Avantis Group, Capital Product Partners, Diana Shipping, GasLog, FTAI Aviation, International Seaways, Navigator Holdings, New Fortress Energy, Northern Shipping, NRG Marine (Alfa Laval), Rand Logistics, Scorpio Tankers, SEACOR, SeaDrill, Star Bulk, Tidewater and UNIMED.  He also works closely with leading private equity funds, family offices and distressed credit firms that own or are looking to acquire maritime businesses.  These clients have included AIP, Apollo, Blackrock Infrastructure, Duration, Elliott, Fortress, Hudson Structured Finance, Oaktree, Saltchuk, White Oak and Ziff Brothers.

Prior to joining AMA, he was a Managing Director and Head of Maritime and Energy Infrastructure investment banking at Stifel Financial. Chris also ran the Maritime and Transportation investment banking practice for FBR Capital Markets and Fortis Securities and was a senior member of Bear Stearns’ Maritime and Transportation investment banking team.

Chris has an M.B.A., from Tepper School of Business at Carnegie Mellon University, a B.S. from Indiana University and is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA).
