Paal joined AMA in 2025 from Quincannon Associates, where he was a ship broker specializing in the chemical tanker parcel trade.

Prior to that, he worked as an investment banking analyst at Canaccord Genuity, focusing on M&A and private placements within the technology and digital services sectors.

Paal graduated from Columbia University in 2022, holds a BA in Financial Economics, and is a Series 63 & 79 registered representative for AMA Securities LLC, a broker-dealer affiliate of AMA Capital Partners.

Originally from Norway, Paal grew up in Singapore and completed two years of mandatory military service, finishing as a lieutenant in the Guards Formation.
